Assignment Title: Food Product Development Project

 

What I learned: This project taught me how to effectively work in a group to develop a product. I learned how to collaborate with different types of studies to help develop a product that would meet the needs for consumers. I learned how to take an idea and make it happen through organization amongst teams.

 

Reflection to assignment: This assignment made me realize the difficulties that come into play when developing a product and also when working as a team. Often times, different ideas would get brought up and it was important for all of us to be open and be able to adapt and see what was the best fit for the product. I learned how difficult it might be if I decide to develop my own product later down the line. There are many aspects outside of nutrition that come into play that I needed to consider to develop an ideal product.


Relevance to the profession: Being able to work with a team is crucial in become a successful dietitian. Working in the hospital means working with other healthcare professionals to help figure out the best options for a patient. The lessons learned through this project are not only applicable to dietitians, but all aspects of nutrition.
