Assignment Title: Dietary Attitude Amongst Various College Athletes
What I learned: In this project, I learned how to properly conduct a qualitative study. I also learned how to properly write about the results I obtained and put all of the pieces to a research paper together. I learned how to properly conduct interviews and analyze field notes and people all of the research in a well developed paper.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment helped me to recognize the importance of a qualitative study. Often times, qualitative studies are overseen, but this study helped me learn how to make a qualitative paper be effective.
Relevance to profession: As a dietitian, I will encounter people from all kinds of cultures and backgrounds. It is important for me to able to understand and respect where these people are coming from and be able to work with them. This paper helped me realize how important qualitative studies are in being able to determine differences in culture.
